Quips, Quotes & Questions

What we meme to say...

We created this page as a home for some of the too often “one and done” greatest and simplest messaging lines we have heard out there. Obvious follow-ups that never seem to come, the “Why is no one saying this?”, and the “Why is no one repeating that??” observations. Perfect for a meme (M), or a yard or protest sign (S)!

We’ve come up with a bunch, others have been collected and credited. They’re in no particular order, it’s just a running list of hits that are ready to take on new meming. Copy one, grab a screenshot to go with it, post! You got one you want to add to the list (perhaps there is something you’ve shouted at the television whilst throwing a pillow)? Do send it along, we’ll send it back out with a shout.

If indeed we did not need the Voting Rights Act of 1965 to protect the country from racially motivated obstacles to vote, then states would have of course responded to the The Supreme Court’s dismantling of Section 5 in 2013 by doing NOTHING. Instead, they jumped pretty fast to change their voting rules, as it was predicted they would. They would have done NOTHING in response to Louisiana v Callais, but instead these racist states responded IMMEDIATELY to erase black votes, as we have been correct to assume they would.
